Every day, 20 Dalit families face the fear of either being bitten by snakes, scorpions and other poisonous creature as there is no boundary wall guarding the Panna Jheel (pond), on the banks of which they reside. The problem worsens during the monsoon. The community has approached various representatives from elected parties to build a wall around the pond but false promises are all that they have been getting for more than 10 years. Many people from the community have suffered over the years and demand action from the government.
